Fokker F 32; scratch built 1/100 scale

In some way Ford Trimotor married ideas of Fokker with those of Junkers and French makers.We can only wonder where that design would lead,then again DC-1 and 2 were just around the corner making every airliner design obsolete.

On other note your model reminded me of Bristol Bombay I had printed for God knows how long .I should make it even if it looks dated

As promised I've adapted my working drawings into a five sheet set of kit parts and formers but, once again, the technology of uploading to the forum has defeated me completely - why are these systems so uncooperative/opaque? I've selected the files, sorted a password but the damn thing does nothing when I press upload files - please explain/assist!

Chris,

one of the issues you might have run into is file size, sometimes that part of the forum hiccups when large files are posted.

Also, if you have uploaded the files, either myself or one of the moderators will need to approve the files, we might not visit that section as regularly as we should, so there is a delay there.

If you can't upload the files, and would like me to try, send them to my gmail account, my forumname at gmail

a great model and a very interesting type. From this period there are only some few models available.

Hi Rick, many thanks for your offer, yes please if you can upload the drawings that would avoid any potential further raising of my blood pressure!

I've just sent the drawings to you via gmail, completely unsure whether I have the correct address but it hasn't bounced back yet; tried a pm but no way that I could see of attaching them to that.

If and when they appear in the downloads section, please note the blurb on the sheet containing the formers about paper thicknesses which are all based on the use of cereal box cardboard for formers and 160 gsm card for other components. These work for 1:100 scale but if enlarging (I've included a scale rule) you would find a very sloppy fit and so would need to adjust as appropriate to avoid excess clearances.

As to reducing to 1:200, fit should be fine but I have to say that the struts were fragile enough for me at 1:100; I would suggest wire or, more expensively, brass etched components instead at this scale.

Very much hope that the drawings are found useful.
