Grunman f3f-2
Hi
While I finish the CSS PALMETTO, I have taken a day and a half of relaxation to make this little model. I have NOT seen it done, so if someone did, I would like to see how it turned out I did it from "Paper and Scissors", but it is a difficult model to find Thanks and regards Thanks and regards |

Nice build!
Would that be “Scissors and Planes”? Wyvern |

Looks really nice.
I think it is from Scissors & Planes. I'm almost sure I've seen one in Garry's(Rata) thread "US Navy and USMC Between The Wars in 1/100".

Hello again I have repeated this model, because in a day and a half it ends. I've built it a little bigger than the last time and fixed the landing gear that was not right. I also have a pilot, transparent cockpit and bracing tensioners on the wings. Cheers

I bought this cutout from Scissors & Planes and I did not understand the landing gear well, because there are no instructions, although the model is simple to build (but not easy) I was surprised that the landing gear did not fit well, as all the other parts (except for some drawing error in the lower wing housing) was quite good. So I looked at this and it cleared up for me Thanks for your comments, Don

Glad you recognized the error of the landing gear. I was about to point it out to you.
Should be an easy fix to replace with correct length gear struts ( to prevent a propeller ground strike on the first engine start . Isaac

Hello Isaac I always make the propellers, that they can turn and I check that when mounting the landing gear, they do not hit the ground when turning. In this case I checked that on both models and it was fine. The error was in the first model, not in the shock absorber axle going to the wheel, but in the position of the bracing bars. But it does seem to me that the propeller is a bit big, so it looks like it might hit the ground. Thanks for watching |
