You asked for it!

While I wait for Chris children for granting dad to post more of the P-40, I'll be uploading P-51 photos (my little 5 year old princess just let me use the laptop, yeah!).

But I'll open a new thread for it, and leave this one to the most expected Chris' P-40.

Chris,

I am also building the P-40, and I have a question regarding the tail. Did you back the stiffener for the rudder? If so, that thickness card did you back it to?

Great build by the way, and keep up the good work.

Someone cares! I made the stiffener 2 mm thick. The stiffener goes about 1 mm from the edge (maybe a touch more from the edge to be sure no gaps are left) then what I did was glue (heavier than usual to soften the paper) then formed it around the former. I have no idea if this was the right way to do it but it was the only way that made sense when I was doing it....

. . . And that is how you get that nice rounding on the edge! Excellent. I will try that, thanks. Please keep up the good work. I am walking in your footsteps
