I don't see why this would be a topic that can't be discussed
(unless its been hashed out already? I haven't been here long enough to know...)

Start a thread...I'll put my two cents in.

ha ha
paperscalemodel...we got kicked out of the original thread!! lol
[ is there a better, more friendly option than calling you paperscalemodel? ]
somebody didn't like the hijack I guess?!! lol
or the bickering?!!! lol lol

hey, its all good...no hurt feelings here.
actually I'm sorry we took over the original thread!
good idea to move this separate.

I got two new questions (maybe for paperscalemodels or anyone else?)

1. plastic canopies...I came across a plastic canopy for a 1/33 A-10 model...but I believe its a "Fly" model...any chance of using this with my Maly Modelarz kit?

2. I was thinking about upsizing my A-10, and the very first page gave me a problem. (I'm studying the task with the scan I currently have...waiting for the new kit to arrive)...right off the bat, I found a single part that just barely fits on an 8.5x11 page. in fact, I can only upsize it about 10% before its too big. Other than printing on larger sheets (at a pro printer), what is the option? Is it okay to start cutting up pieces and joining them back together within the build?

what?! nobody likes me now?
LOL

hey, I've been ignored before...I'm getting used to it!

My questions are still out there, if anyone has an opinion...
I'd love to know if anyone has used one of these clear canopies.

I contacted the seller of this A-10 canopy, and he says it should fit (with some adjustment) the Maly Modelarz kit.
He is going to send me a photo or two...and I'll let you know when he does.

That is the canopy I used on the model in the build thread. It does require some careful trimming but will work.

ah, great!!...I hope my build is anywhere near as good as yours!
Can't wait to see yours finished!

I am studying the photos of your canopy mod, to see how you adapted the FLY canopy to fit. Do you have any other photos that might be of help?

Sorry, no - all I did was carefully trim a small (1mm) amount off the bottom edge then test fit and repeated until it sat down pretty well.

LOL not even close to starting this kit yet!

I have two repaints in the works and two other builds on the go.
I also have another model I want to try first
and I am seriously thinking about trying a different Maly model first!

(I'm even looking at your "free" Maly offer...for build photos. I'd like to get the feel of a simpler maly kit first)

Not to mention...this A-10 will be scaled up and repainted, so that will delay my start even more!

Don't worry...I will definately be trying to get it into the current contest and i will post a build thread.
