https://sklep.gpm.pl/wyprzedaz/an-2-...odzona-okladka but a better version of the Antonov AN-2 Bi plane is from Orlik https://orlik-models.pl/nr-75-samolo...adaniowy-an-2/ or purchase from GPM as well: https://sklep.gpm.pl/modele-kartonow...torlikquot-075 Both have their own laser cut frames as well as wheels you can purchase. I have the Orlik kit and accessories and will build it one of these days as well. Isaac

Music Wire Sizes and Sources
If I may go back to Isaac's Post #16 (http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/713292-post16.html), have you, Isaac, or anyone, ever figured out which gauges of music wire are most suitable for various airplane scales?
I'm thinking around .012" (0.3mm, 30 AWG) for 1/100; 0.15" (0.38mm, 28 AWG) for 1/72 - 1/48; and .020" (0.5mm, 25 AWG) for 1/33. As for sources, in the United States K&S Precision metals sells straight length of music wire in 0.015" and 0.02" but not 0.012 (as far as I know). Micro-Mark sells brass wire in those and other sizes, but it's too soft and the wrong color. Don |

I'm not sure if my information is accurate. It's just based on my observation of various music wire sizes. I hope that someone reading this has actually done some measuring to determine which sizes are best for various scales.

No matter Don, today I have been looking at the strings of my acoustic guitar and I think they can be used for the smallest scales. Also in Chinese shops I have found aluminum wire that can be set as rigid. What I have clear is that the normal thread, never again Thanks again for your advice and interest A greeting

This is perhaps the best build of an FG PT-17 that I've seen. As for rigging, I've had good luck with fly-tying thread. It comes in many colors, and sizes, does'nt stretch, and is lint free.
