Rare Repaints Grumman F4F 1/48
Well, I'm finally getting around to posting this. It is a very nice repaint of the Thaipaperwork Grumman F4F. Nobi designs a nice, easy to build model and this is a fine repaint of it. The only enhancements I made were to add a full 14 Cylinder Radial (had one left over from my B25 build), and changed the hub on the propeller and made that assembly spin.
The one I chose out of the three versions available in the kit (which can be purchased at Ecardmodels) it the VF-41 USS Ranger, 1940. |

Very fine job of this F4F in Neutrality markings.

A very nice looking F4F, very clean tight build.

That turned out to be a handsome little cat.
And the 'yellow wings' livery is a favorite.

Great work on this Wildcat! It's one of my favorite planes.
However, I much more like it when it's in blue camouflage. But that's just my preference.
