And painted!
Love it! I think is time to make some sanding, lettering, foot rest drawing and design, weathering, design of the windshield over the central gunner pit... there are a lot of posibilities. And meanwhile designing the engines and propellers. The Stranraer had two kind of propellers: the first, 3-bladed variable-pitch metal propellers, and the second, a weird double set of two bladed propellers, like the one you can see right at the top of the page https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Supermarine_Stranraer Anyway, thanks by your support!

This week was spend designing and printing the engines. There are tree sets of propelers and two sets of cowls, I'll release the one corresponding to the right airplane (228 Squadron Pembroke Dock 1937-1938) but I'll assemble the cowl corresponding to the model I'm depicting (240 Squadron Scotland 1940-1941)
So far I just have cut the propellers and the cowl mounting rings, but I expect to finish the engines this weekend. The finished engine in the pictures comes from my Fairey Swordfish, that have the same Bristol Pegasus X, but with different propeller and cowl. The Saro London, my maybe, maybe not next proyect, had the same engines too.

Excellent model Draco.
I'm still amazed at amount of use those Pegasus engines and its many versions got over decades in so many different planes. It also powered Supermarine Walrus-much smaller sibling of Stranraer. |

Thanks rifleman, thanks Butelczynski!
Assembling the engines it's easy, but I'll need to think how to draw the instructions. The free model that I'll release will have fixed propellers, mine and the others that I want to sell (somebody knows a web page where I can sell them?) will have turning propellers, that's why there is a copper wire inside the engine. I started the lettering, still unfinished by already in their right place. You can see that it says BN L by the left side and L BN by the right one. That's because BN is the squadron identification and goes ahead, and L is the plane's identity and goes back. That's easy to see here, but there are a lot of model of Mosquito, Spitifire and other british planes that have this detail wrong

After 21 hours without electricity (well, 9 without electricity, 12 without one phase, no computer, not refrigerator, not internet).

What can I say about adversity. Paper Modeling is a nice hobby! |

Thanks, wireandpaper!
The engines are advancing, just the mounting remains! They are simetrical, the exaust goes over the black rib on the wings. Soo.... engines mounting, interwing struts, lateral floats. Finished before christmast, I hope! Then the release of the free model and I'll start to talk with a web site to sell the rest of the repaints. Next year? I'm going to assemble a cessna, an U-2, maybe another. And I'll design another plane. So far I'm thinking about a Navaho Sm-64 or a Slam Pluto, both unmanneds. And the Saro London and the Douglas Skyray.
