Murph's Models CH-46 USMC
Finally had time to start work on another project; I chose the CH-46 USMC version from Murph's Models. My printer has strange margins, so I reduced it slightly to 1:35. This is convenient since I like to build all my models at that scale.
So far so good - I am amazed by the fit of the pieces. I thought I'd have a lot of trouble with the front with all the curves but the design is first rate and everything is going together great. -Smitty |

Looks good so far! That's a challenging design in card.

I’ve built that model, it’s pretty impressive when finished. My only tip would be to reinforce the rotor blades with something stiff, as they droop with age. I used carbon fiber rods in my blades, but a metal rod would work, too.

Thanks all. @Knife, thanks for the tip about reinforcing the rotor blades, I will try and find something to use.
Finally had time to finish the fuselage. Like the nose, the rear went together well. Parts fit is good. I've never built a model with internal formers before, so this one is a first for me. I'm still experimenting with my method, so some of the seams are a bit rough, but good enough I think. Now to figure out if I should build the sponson next or the engines on top. More to come. |

Nice fuselage on the “Boeing Body Bag”. Very clean build.
