I also suffer from such a dip, Ab. In my case it's I just have so much else to do, that when I finally have some time, I just am too tired and uninspired to do anything paperwise.
Right now I really want to go back to finishing my 1/96 shuttle stack I started a year ago. But I keep procrastinating. Every big project I have started since a year or 3 has been terribly and tediously slow. I assume the inspiration and spirit to start bulding more often will return again but I don't see it changing really soon, I am afraid. This Spitfire was a half year build.

I suppose you are a guy with a job. Compared to you I should not complaint. I have all the time in the world as a retiree so I feel a bit ashamed.
I just finished a big man-of-war, which did not take me more than 4 months all together. Besides I am working on 6 other ships, but I lost my speed for a while. Anyway I really get my inspiration back by looking at that Spitfire. Even though I built at least 5 of them over the past 8 years: 4 from Halinski and one 1: 24 by JSC, a very nice one.
Let's stop wailing, back to the workbench!

I do indeed have a job, Ab. Two, actually, because I work at the regional archives and besides that I am a filmmaker working on a big documentary at the moment. But I also have to care for my Significant Other, who just had a hip replacement and while she's recovering I have to help her with everything. But I sure will put mien kop d'r veur! (-;

Hi all! And congratulations to Paper Kosmonaut for this fantastic model.
My question is regarding the impression of the Spitfire Mk.Va. Since it does not come in PDF but in images, how do I configure my printer so that the size matches the Alin Oszarik engine? I have A4 paper size. Thanks.

Thanks, IsraGizmo. The sheets are sized at A4. I could just print the separate sheets all on 100%; my printer shows them at 97% as "full sized" but I can print them at 100%. I think you can, too!

Image files come with a DPI information that tells what size this image should appear on paper. Printing at '100%' makes the printer follow this instruction to the word. It's normally a very 'clean' number like 96, 300, 1200 etc, but if somebody processed the image without paying attention it could get messed up and then it's all guesswork...

True. I sure have had my messups too with printing a model which was way bigger than a sheet of A4. (and not checking beforehand, so wasting a handful of good A4's) But it doesn't really hurt to quick-print out one page on regular paper and see whether it fits at 100%. You also can see whether it fits or not in the printer interface window on your computer screen. But results of course may vary.
This model however, perfectly fits on an A4 sheet.
