I'm with you Dan. Curves and matching panel lines drive me up a wall. I will be choosing subjects for paper card modeling based on lack of compound curves in the future. Harry Woodman in his book Scale Modeling in Plastic card, kept harping on "Know the properties of your material". The best you are going to get using paper to model compound curves is an approximation. Some are quite good, but none I have seen are convincing. I will stick to more slab sided designs with simple curves. As another famous Harry once said, "A man has to know his limitations."

Dan - It was nice to see this model during the on-line session today. It looks very good to my eye. Don

Thanks, Don. You too! It's nice to actually hear and see people animated that you only "see" on-line. A very nice pleasure. Ray is so genial and super knowledgeable in all things (especially paper) and thank goodness Wayne is organized!

I hope you get back to China someday! That sounded like a cool museum...

SMP,

You've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky?

Can't wait to start that Albi.

I can't remember, was that was that 5 dry fits...or 6?

I will hold off on Albatri until I find a good D.III, more slab sided. But I will be following your D.V build for sure.

Whew...this one has been a while...

I'm slowly making headway on the sticky-outy bits. Started with the rear spinner. I filled it with CA, sanded, primed etc. and now I have a nice rear spinner. Front one is next and then I think I'll make the gear as with all the lead weight up front, I think she will need some solid legs.

THEN I'll start fixing/filling/priming the fuselage and ready for painting.

Cheer,
Dan

Dan,

That rear spinner turned out very nice. Fingers crossed for the front spinner.

Thanks, Gary! Here is the front and a first stab at the rear props. Needs touch-up but it's looking decidedly boss...............Dan
