DH82 Tiger Moth, 1/72, [Contour Creative].

A Tiger Moth (1/48 paper model, reduced to 1/72 from the Contour Creative brand), decorated in a "rose flower" style by New Zealand artist Rosie Louise.

for Cassandre

My sweet, let us see whether the rose
which this morning had openend
its purple dress in the sun
has retained this evening
the folds of its purple dress,
and its complexion so akin to yours.

Alas! See in how little time,
my sweet, it let fall, alas,
its beauty on the ground!
Oh, nature, cruel mother,
for such a flower only lasts
from dawn until dusk!

So, if you trust my words, my sweet,
as your age is blooming
in the prime of its youth,
pick, pick your youthfullness.
Just like for this flower, old age
will tarnish your beauty

Ronsard

Great work, those are both beautiful models. I love the colour schemes on both kits.

Very unusual set of colors on beautiful model. Very eye pleasing. What's the name of that pastel color on upper surfaces?

Was a real plane ever painted in this scheme?

Kevin - I have been searching the Internet and the Contour Creative site and have yet to come with evidence of a real airplane in this pretty color scheme. It may have been invented by Rosie Louise

Jan - What is the registration? I can see it has an "F" prefix, but can't read the letters.
