Tu-104 WHM in 1:186

1st of all - why?. i'm looking for Tu -16 model so I can build Egyptian Air Force model, the only model that i find is GPM in 1:33 so i find that Tu-16 and Tu-104 are close with minor changes. i take WHM model and scane the 8 A3 pages, after that i print this 8 A3 pages on 2 A4 pages and get 1:186 after all. started to build it in order to understend if and how to chang it to the Tu-16. For now is to build tiny aircraft mostly under the magnifing glass.this is interesting to build the mid section with few discs on tube (the original part is quite big).

Stormeagle did excellent recolor of Bruno Tu-16 in Iraqi and Egyptian liveries.I think it's in downloads somewhere.Aaron Murphy also has huge Tu-16 in Russian colors .It's all alu grey so it can be easily rebadged to alu Egyptian livery.

If you send me pics of the Egyptian Tu-16, I'll see about whipping up a version. I only ever found info on Soviet and Chinese versions.

Hi, Thanks, this might change the planning of re-work the model, I can think of looking into pictures in Wings palette, they have plenty of pictures.
find something like 8-10 versions in few seconds and they have more.
if you like I can send you some links, I don't care about specific aircraft, I preferred one from early 70's with Kelt missile .
any way - started mini Tu-104 and I'll finished him any way, it's good practice to my fingers

Early Egyptian Tu-16 is easy-replace Soviet stars with Egyptian roundels and put random 2 digit Arabic numbers where Soviet ones use to be.They were marked in factory in SU.

Later ones with camo are tricky ones. They were remarked often judging by pictures.

I had a look at some Egyptian Tu-16's, and decided to try and tackle a camo version:

I also took the opportunity to completely redraw the Tu-16 model (it was one of my early models), to add formers and separate tabs. And a couple KS-1 Komets for it to carry.

I remember seeing a kit of the Tu 104 many years ago. Not sure as to whom, but it really could have used a better rendering
