Canopy making-making the mold
The canopy for this model is simple two dimensional. No compound curves at all.
However...... The frames are very thin and there are joints that will not cooperate if made from flat clear plastic sheet. The solution that made sense to me was to vacuform a one piece canopy. This way, I do not have to deal with assembling the plastic parts as well as try to fit the thin frames on. First step is to make a positive mold ( our mould in British English ). make a printed copy in B&W of the paper canopy and form it to shape Make a bath tub support for the upside down canopy pour Plaster of Paris ( or whatever you select ) into the mold. when dry overnight, peel off the paper clean it, sand as needed and add wood stand on the bottom. Canopy-vacuforming
Now the positive mold is ready for the vacuforming process
ones removed, I glued the frames on. ( it is a bit messy now, but once the model is done, I will clean it up ). here is the canopy and aft fairing on the plane. Isaac

Hello I see that you use the same method that I practice for the wheels. Glued cardboard circles and then sanded, with paint. They look good and it's cheap. For the crystals and acetates I use this product, it is very good and when it dries it is transparent. Regards
