Great start Isaac. Another fun collaboration, and we even dragged Yoav into it.
Happy Thanksgiving! Gary

Fuselage
Lets start building.
Note : Since this is the same model build, please refer to the earlier posts on this thread for more detailed steps. Here are some of the differences in visuals. Fuselage parts printed. tail main gear bay repaint from the plain flat original center and aft section assemblies tail on nose section ( don't forget to add weights ) front and back halves Joined fuselage. Wings
The wing design is a simple one part wrapped around. Stubby looking.
The repaint highlights the panels and the flaps outline top and bottom. At this stage, since there was little information on the flaps themselves, I decided not to separate them since they would add very little to the model appearance. Same with the tiny speed brakes which are omitted. The wings simply slip on and mate to the fuselage. Isaac

Status / comparison pics
Here is the model so far next to the original build.
Lots of deep and rich coloration differences. Observations next....... Isaac

Observation
Now that the model is mostly formed, I noted that the repainted rendition is still too dark / blue. This has been a process and I ran it by some fellow builders that also agreed it needs to be toned down further.
It is difficult to render metallic finish on paper, so it is mostly a trial and error and maybe variable to the printer used. So I asked Gary to lighten the repaint further. I then printed on a plain thin paper, cut out one part ( see picture with arrow ) and placed it temporarily. It is certainly lighter. The model has since been modified and there will be another build of our Version 3 of this Trident II later on. For now, I will proceed with the build of this Version 2. Personally, I like it as it is since it really stands out more artistically when compared to the plain original. Isaac

Isaac,
You're an expert at building the Trident. The fit on the model is very nice. Gary
