Bf-109, design by Gerard Methorst, in 1/32.

Greetings, another very good design by Gerard, it represents very well the lines of this well-known aircraft. A simple design that is very pleasant to build with a very good final result.
It has the colors of the JG / 27 Gruppe I that fought in the north of Africa.
These are not good times for me and lately I am not very satisfied with my work, but at least they look decent and the worst thing I try to hide it in the photos😁.
This year really sucks, I have had very hard years, but never like this .I have not worked for 5 months and only bad news comes continuously.
The hobby helps enormously to lift the spirits a bit.
Here are the final photos.
Although austere in details for this scale the result is more than pleasant.
Again I thank Gerard for his cordiality towards me and I hope you like my construction.
Greetings and thanks.

Hi I do not know you, but do not underestimate your efforts, this has been a hard year for you and many others, but the sun will shine again and take strength from the members of this family. I wish my meagre efforts were as good as yours!

Good looking, even and symmetrical model.Somehow it reminds me of Geli model of same.

On separate note, how come this particular color scheme seems to be popular with model designers?I can think of a handful plastic model makes and decal producers that had it at one time or other.I have I think 3 paper models with this scheme as well.

Is it significant in any way?

Thank you very much everyone for stopping by and commenting !! Wivenhoe Boy, you're right, this will pass and everything will get better, although it will leave a lot of damage everywhere, unfortunately.
Karol, I guess this scheme is very attractive to designers, and the fame it got Hans-Joachim Marseille in Africa with his 158 takedowns must have contributed something to make them choose this scheme, although I'm not sure if Marseille ever used this one.

You're too hard on yourself, the model looks fine and the results are well worth the effort you put into it.

Very nice Me-109 Sergio!! The Methorst's Specialist!! Go ahead friend, Cheers up!!! Before I joint Paper Modellers, I construct only Me-109's, and let me tell you that this plane is really very well done. Marseille's Me-109 was all-sand-brown with the famous "yellow 14" on the sides. Best Regards, Tony.
