Hi Glen, that's really a very nicely crafted model! Amazing story behind it. Quite a difficult task to roll the struts yourself, did you insert a thin metal core or something for structural strength?

Thank you gentlemen, Wyvern, Eric and Mike for checking this one, Eric the small tubes are fun to try, I usually use thinner paper, roll around a paperclip or similar, and then hardened with ca glue after sliding off the wire, a smaller wire was inserted and glued to help locate the struts.
Mike it is associated with a ship at least
