Fouga Magister (Yoav design)

At the start of the first lockdown in Israel, I started Yoav's Fouga Magister model. The Fouga Magister served in Israeli Air Force from 1960, upgraded to the Zukit standard in 1986, and replaced by the Texan II in 2010.

Original model is at a scale of 1-30, I scaled it to 1-33 to be compatible with my other models. Model build is "out of the box" except extended landing gear. Thanks Yoav for this excellent model, like all the others.

Main landing gear's wells were assembled with the inner wing, and had to use only the forward beam.

Added the rear beam for the outer wing part.

Next step is the canopy,

Shalom Mor

A very pleasant model to build. A real beauty of a plane. I love the dirt, stains and the worn look. The rendering is fantastic. Nice work.

I too built this model, but in the 1/30 scale. I sort of regret not reducing to 1/33 to keep the scale common to the other models I built, but when I built the F-4E from Yoav design, I did not realize it until well after I finished it and by then, I continued all the other designs from Yoav in 1/30 scale.

On a side note, I would love to see a camouflaged recolor in the 1967 attack version.

Isaac

Nice work Mor. It's always nice to see one of Yoav's models.
