They would probably vibrate for several days after the ride. I guess that's why it's a "what-if."

I stumbled across this variation on the theme: Rear engine removed, four seats in tandem along the right side, aisle on the left. Another repaint for Marek's Do-335?

Photos as requested. The seats are from Peter Zorn's 1/33 scale Ford TriMotor kit, I expect the seatbelts came from the same source. The Lufthansa crane logo is on both bulkheads.

Very nicely built and imaginative model. There have been a few dreamers trying to take ex-military aircraft into the civil transport field.

IMHO, a gas turbine in the rear would do the job of the second engine more efficiently. |

Imagine what performance would have been like with turboprops on both ends!

To be fair, it's no wackier than some of the three-wheeled cars that were cobbled together from spare parts after the war: https://jalopnik.com/what-its-like-t...ilt-1735448480

however.... this plane is so high off the ground ( originally to clear the rear propeller ), that makes it that much more difficult to load and unload. In any case, there are many variations that can be made to it for this what if concepts. .....how about attaching two large pods under the wings to carry cargo or extra fuel. The belly could also be useful since there was a small bomb bay there. Isaac
