What if? Dornier Do-335

What If . . .
Lufthansa converted a Dornier Do-335 to a high-speed, four-passenger executive transport? This paper model from E-Cardmodels.com is 1/33 scale, with a wingspan of 17 inches, and a length of 16.5 inches. I scratch built the interior of the passenger cabin.

Wow! I really like the concept. It is a very well executed build, can we get more shots of the cabin if possible?

Hi All,

Ach du lieber! Thank God it's fast, as it would be hard to withstand the heat and noise for long. And knowing that the empennage is equipped with explosive bolts would make the ride extra exciting.

That's a fine model of the Arrow, but I'll fly my Spartan Executive to my next destination.

Score and fold,

Thumb Dog

A masterpiece. A fascinating project. And I like the alternate universe in which the tail insignia would have been used.

It looks very nice, and is what if. If you replace al the space for armament with fuel tanks you get some extra kilometers of range. Probably close in speed to some current biz jets.

A very interesting if rather impractical as an executive plane.

I do love the concept though.

I'll try. It's pretty basic: four passenger seats from another kit (KingAir?), seatbelts, two bulkheads and a floor, and some leather-colored paper.
The model as printed shows hinges on the left side of the passenger door. I thought a clamshell door made more sense, and I like the way it looks.

Interesting idea and good model of it.I just don't know how passengers would feel about nearly 2000 hp DB 603 engine roaring that close to them.

Anyone knows where can I find more about operations of Lufthansa during war?
