fuselage...
Hello gents,
The fuselage went quite OK remembering about them issues mentioned before. For the wings and stabilizers I used some extra 1mm cardboard (wing - 5 to 6mm, stab 2-3mm) to give them some strength and required thickness. kind regards Cybermac |

You are doing a great Job. I like the old paper models. They remind me of my chilehood in the 80´s. At the moment I´m also working on an old model from MM the Shinden plane.

Hello gents,
Thank you for all your kind comments! Shinden was one of the most unusual designs published by Maly Modelarz By the way, my first card model was their Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki 5/1986 - another Japanese design. I have got one in my stash somewhere in the queue, but the cold war jets and designs need to go first. Going back to the Lightning, please see the cabin cover slightly adjusted and colored in Corel. I wasn't going into much modification but just made it simetrical. kind regards Cybermac |

Vertical stab + spine
Hello gents,
Some work has been done on the vertical stabilizer and a spine. Again I used some 1mm thick cardboard for the stab and I have put a halved paper straw to strengthen the spine so it doesn't get flattened somewhere in the middle of the length. Please see the photos below. kind regards Cybermac |

Hello gents,
JCK - I am happy that you like the cabine. Actually, the whole model should be recoloured but I simply had no time to do that. Anyway, I put the whole thing together recently. Just a pilot tube and underbelly tank will be the last two things to do. Please see the photos Kind regards Cybermac Last edited by Cybermac; 11-09-2020 at 12:04 PM. |

Excellent job, especially with such an old kit. If that's 1/33 scale it must be quite a large model!
