I forgot to say to define green color you can with help by red color of cocarde. In PhotoShop you can use the color shift function to make "right" red color and automatically to obtain "right" color of green.

I have a few fragments that I traded a grade school class mate for back in the 1960s. They were from a Zero that had crashed into his fathers battle position in WWII, and his father picked up some pieces as souvenirs.
The green is exactly the shade you have in your pics. The Japanese were the first to use epoxy paints on their naval aircraft for corrosion control Several restorers have remarked on the excellent condition of Japanese aircraft that have laid in the jungles for many years, but still are intact and in good condition. After reading about this a few years back, I dug out the fragments, and tried to scrape the paint away. You really had to attack them to get down to the base aluminum. Even after 70 years, the epoxy paint is REALLY tough! |

Looking forward to this! Great idea to scan and restore... what an excellent way to preserve and enjoy an original hard-to-find model.

Whatever shade of green you use, please note that the Shinden was an experimental prototype and never went operational. So as such all the colors were in new and clean condition. No chipping, no wear, no stains.
The original Maly Modelarsz version was a product of minimum information and as such looked like a strangely worn war machine. If you plan a "What if" version, then go ahead and have fun with it. Isaac

I built this one some 38 years ago (I may even have the cover somewhere at my parents' place). It went together well, but unfotunately, did not survive. I wanted to buy another copy to build it once again, but it's pretty rare.
You've recolored it well and I am sure it will look great when built. |
