Japanese Shinden J7W1 from Mały Modelarz 1:33
Hello,
after 10 days of waiting my papercraft from Mały Modelarz finally arrived. It is very difficult to get it. But i was lucky to finde one original copy of the issue. The Shinden was an unusual Japanese prototype fighter with wings at the rear of the fuselage and two small wings at the front. First fly was on 3rd August 1945 but the plane was abandoned as Prototype. The paper model itself is 45 years old (10/1975). So the paper is not white any more but more like light ocher. It becomes also brittle at the edges so you canīt bend it enymore. So I scanned every page and will try to digital renew the whole plane with my paint tools and graphic programs. Jacek |

Hi Jacek:
Scan an old (or for any matter) model is a wise move. As you mentioned the Shinden is one of the nicest "could had been" planes of the Japanese Empire. For me it is to large due to my allotted space at home. Looking forward to see your build. |

Something of a prize and to have it remain in one piece for the future is great.

Thanks for help! So I think I will choose dark green. Now i have to improve some details. And I will build a cockpit because in the original MM plans there is no cockpit.

Great job JCK!
Looking at the photos the green may be a bit more like 'dark olive' green but this is only a suggestion. Kind regards Cybermac |
