Great work Greg. Ya, too bad all of that work on the engine is hidden. I love the paint chipping on the cowling.

Good work on that engine, Greg. The evidence is in camera to prove what's under the hood.

Thanks for the support, all!

Now up through part 8.

Fit is still good as long as you take your time and go slowly. Minor trimming is needed on the connecting strips, but that's no big deal.

I believe that's the oil cooler, same principle of course. Radiator is usually reserved for engine block coolant, not sure why.

Thanks Jeff, that makes more sense since the cylinders have cooling fin detail printing on them suggesting they are air cooled.

Up through the cockpit to round out the weekend.

The foot pedals are not easy to install. The cross bar and center pivot were glued to the floor/side wall, the center part of the instrument panel was gently bent out, and the floor/side wall was inserted before sliding the 1 mm floor support pieces in place.

Then the pedals were installed. I lost one to the inner workings of the front fuselage and had to make a replacement. Tweezers were useless in getting the pedals in place. I had to use a stick with a tacky ball on the end to grab the pedals, dip the area to be glued in gel CA glue and carefully fish them in place. Once the canopy is attached it will likely never be seen again.. .

The pilot's office looks great Greg, as does the front fuselage. I don't think you can see the rudder pedals even without the canopy on.

Nice work.

My thoughts too Gary, but I'll know they are there.

Got the rest of the fuselage done. Took it slow and the results are good, no banana shape to my mark 1 eyeball.

Tail feathers are 2/3 done. The horizontal former is printed as on piece that supposedly goes through the fuselage, however there are no provisions on the fuselage parts for it and I am not about to do surgery willy nilly and mess up what I already have built. Much easier to cut the former as needed.
