Going aft
A note I missed to state. There is a need of substantial weight to keep the nose gear down. I added 4 small sinkers weights.
Here is the nose section underside prior to the removal of the nose gear housing doors outline and cut out bay Now, here are the fuselage sub assemblies Nose section, nose gear bay, center section upper skin, center section framing, belly skin and aft section Isaac

The fuselage is really taking shape now. The nose looks great with the pilot's office in it.

Rykogun is a intent for a fast recon plane. Kugisho (First Aerotechnical Naval Arsenal) start the build prototype in last days of Pacific War but never completed the fuselage, the jet version is planned but only exist a concepts drawings. I follow the build with interest because one day I build both in 1/100 scale.

Fuselage assembly
glue the upper center fuselage skin to the forward section
belly skin will be added after mating the wings on. insert and glue the center section framing Note : this will end up being no good ! ready to join the aft section Note 2: because the joint going aft is relatively week, I added a wood dowel to the framing to add structural support. join the aft section I had to use low tack tape to keep it all together. A- the glue just was not sufficient. B- the aft section was a bit warped and would not conform at the joint line. when removing the tape, it just pulled off the colors ( a stupid move on my part ). I made a simple repair to the area where the tape pulled off the paint using a printed section on thin paper. Not the best form because there was still some warpage in that location. For now, here it is until I decide what to do.

Isaac,
It looks like you made a great recovery. The fuselage looks good. Besides, the paint on Imperial Japanese aircraft was notorious for flaking and peeling anyway. Gary

That's what Cindy said. Keep it like that. Anyhow, it's OK either way. Isaac

Looks great and fast progress, Isaac. It's a bigger beast than I imagined! Quite impressive.

In any case, this plane if it flew, would not have been a fast bomber for sure. Not with that big body and tiny engines. Isaac
