Well, from the aforementioned planes only AIDC F-CK-1A Ching Kuo has not been made, and I'm referring at 1/100 scale of course. No offense but I feel that 1/33 constructers are confined to a fighter/fighter-bomber scheme of buidings. I only know one Modeller that builds at 1/33 scale into all the spectrum including bombers and transports; that Modeler is Igor Shatohin.
I repeat, no offense to 1/33 Modelers, What I'm saying is that with a small scale you got more space to storage your models. Regards. Tony

Yes, Tony, that's one of the reasons for me to build all my planes (except the 727) at 1/72 scale: I can put a lot of then inside a shoebox without problem

Consolidated PB2Y-5 Coronado Sea Plane Bombers

PB2Y performed 4-Bombing raids on Wake Island from Jan. 30, 1944 through Feb. 9, 1944.

Not sure how many know the history of this interesting airplane.

Reading a book, Clear The Bridge by RAdm. Richard H. O'Kane USN, one of the first missions of the Submarine TANG was to be a beacon for two of the mention bombing missions.

Decided to see what they looked like:

Crew of ten, 190mph 1070 mile range.

The book is a first person account of commanding a submarine. Talk about a great book! I also have the Book, WAHOO The Patrols of America's Most Famous WWII Submarine, by RAdm. Richard H. O'Kane. Read this one first he was the first XO. Both of these books have a very sad ending. Same thing happened to both, MK18 Torpedo's....

RAdm. O'Kane earned a Medal Of Honor. He was captured by the Japanese. Read his books to find out more.

I just started re-reading these two books. I was looking at the Photo of the WAHOO, when I noticed some writing through the photo.

I had to pry the pages apart, they were partially glued together at the bottom. Boy did I find something interesting:

I searched and could not find the PB2Y as a paper model. Anybody know where one is?

Coronado

Dear All:

While I am amazed of the work you have been doing in 1/33 the practicality of life had keep me in the smaller scales.
And yes, there is a (vintage) Coronado!
May be a Rigby, a little boxy and probably around 1/150 to 1/200 in its original form.

Thank you!
Can narrow the search. What would be more cool than seeing one with the bombs under the wings.

Probably be mistaken for floats...

EMBRAER EMB-120 Brasilia WIP

Hello Modelers! I'm been very busy and active lately on FB so, not much time for designing. But the EMB 120 Brasilia advanced by leaps and bounds. All pieces seems to be well and aligned and I'm proceeding to the Beta build. Let's see what's this goes on. Best Regards, Tony.
