Next construction phase: the main landing gear ... first glue the wheel parts on 0.9 mm Finn cardboard ... ... meanwhile process the shock absorbers ... round the dried wheels with sandpaper ... ... then blacken with drawing ink and roll the treads in pastel chalk to dirty them Sincerely Kurt |

For heaven's sake, don't make the wheels shiny. At that time, shiny rubber had not yet been invented. :-)

I find making the wheels in this way very effective! Wonder how solid the structure of the landing gear will be as it looks rather fragile from the instruction drawing. Looking forward how you will handle that...
