Brewster "Buffalo" MK.1 - Kartonowa Kolekcja - 1:33

Hello aviation friends

After my aqueduct will soon be finished, the next second project on Queen Luise the little hunter is on the program.

It will be the first attempt with a bow made by Kartonowa Kolekcja.

The arches are beautifully designed and the printing is fabulous.

There are 400 parts on five A4 sheets, the fifteen building sketches and the Polish text should be enough to create a reasonably beautiful model

Sincerely
Kurt

This very kit was the last card airplane I completed. It is a fine kit, and you should have fun completing it. I really like the KK offerings and have seven more of them tucked away in my stash. My avatar shows another completed KK kit (Po-2).

I'm glad to see you applying your considerable skill and talent to this one, Kurt.

In spite of its shady reputation, I have always liked the appearance of the Buffalo, and I always enjoy watching you build anything.

Don

Hello Styrian Spitfire I have this kit, because I find the plane very interesting. You have done a magnificent work and your comments encourage me to do so in the future. But I have an excess of projects, some unfinished. I repeat my admiration for the plane you have built and I congratulate you for it. Regards

Hi Kurt,

Good luck with your build. You have my attention. Have this one as well on the stock pile and I'm curious to see how you will pull this off. There's also an old Halinski kit of the Buffalo in Dutch East Indies livery but that one is quite a disaster to make. I stopped with it and bought the KK version instead. I agree with Don, it's a clumsy looking "thing" but somehow very attractive. Didn't the pilots nicknamed the aircraft the flying barrel?

Excellent result Chris, by the way!

Viel Spass und Erfolg!

Erik

On design questions ... What is more beautiful, a "classic" Harley Davidson (I had a Road King first model) or a current hyper sports bike? An Auburn or a boring very contemporary "manga" design car? I like this plane because it does not show clumsiness in design but rather a great ability to combine a different form with functionality. And of course that design is completely premeditated. It seems MUCH more interesting to me than a current passenger plane. Regards

The Buffalo has always been a favorite of mine because of its fascinating history. Much maligned by Western air forces, the Finns used it with incredible success against the Russians. By some accounts, aircraft #BW-364, with a post-war evaluated 42.5 kills, may have been the highest scoring combat airframe in history.

Hello aviation friends

Hi Chris , your plane looks very fine

Well then let's start ...

It starts with part 1 and frame C1 which is reinforced with 1 mm Finn cardboard ... first glue the frame at the bottom in the middle, with the printed side inward ...
... and glue it pulling upwards

Sincerely
Kurt
