Another great project, Pericles!
Those pre-war biplane flying boats were good-looking airplanes. This one looks great on the wartime RAF Coastal Command color scheme. I enjoyed reading Draco's design thread and look forward to seeing you build this challenging model. Don |

Thank you Don!
It really is a model with a very interesting challenge level. At the moment the model is paralyzed, but I hope in the next ten days to resume it. |

Hello my friend! It's paralyzed for now, certain special models need the right inspiration to build. But I wait until the end of the year to resume this construction. Is the case of scratchbuilding of my P2Y2 too.

Resume of Stranraer - 1/100 Conversion
Well friends, we are resuming this project. But for the moment I'm going to put aside the 1/72 version that I reduced to 1/100 scale, and go back to the new native 1/100 scale model that Draco recently designed.
This new kit is characterized by a drastic reduction of parts, being lovingly thought for the small scale builders. Textures and versions in principle will be the same offered in other versions in larger scales already released and available at Ecardmodels. I started by building the pedestal that the model is exposed to it will be important for later stages of construction where I will make a homemade jig to fix the planes of the wings and their uprights. As in the previous model, now paralyzed, I glued the formers to rigid cardboard. Soon updates. |

Well friends.
Construction summary. The works are very slow due to the brutal heat that is in my state here in the southern region of Brazil. The disturbances range from extreme heat, overload of the electrical system, forest fires, all associated with a severe drought the largest in 50 years. This heat causes storms and downbursts on top of that that do nothing to ease and bring great damage, a very difficult situation. Yesterday we prepared most of the Stranraer's fuselage which has a very particular shape, bell in its cross sections. Despite the number of parts that make up the fuselage in an unusual way, they fit together very well. Note the laminated, sanded and drilled formers to help with alignment. With the fuselage pieces cut, we painted the corners and tabs. Continue... |

Fuselage Puzzle
We started the construction of the Stranraer fuselage through the central section that houses 2 formers, number 4 and number 9/10, this is the set responsible for giving solidity to the construction and also its shape, the collages sought to be as accurate as possible, Note that the keel will be the last piece to be fixed.
Tonight I try finish all fuselage pieces. |

Resume the build
I present some more advances in the construction of the Supermarine Stranraer. The activities on it are slow but always progressing without major mishaps, I prepared the elements that were missing from the fuselage as well as I installed the keel.
