I couldn't agree with you more. The simpler, the better. Schreiber also has a simple and beautiful J3. No wonder nowadays companies like Atlantis and Round2 plastic models are selling like hotcakes. They are making models from old Revell, Monogram and other companies old tooling which were simple, cheap and beautiful. Just check Atlantis' PBY Catalina. A model first released by Monogram in 1955.

I especially like your J3 Cub on floats. Congratulations.

Great job on the J3, Jim. There will certainly have to be a few Flitfire repaints.

Regards,
John

Real beauty, Jim.

I see that it is "my" cub. Under construction, although with my lack of building skill it is taking me a while.

It is an excellent design and I think even I will eventually be able to complete it. If so, I want to try another one with the floats.

Fine designer and fine modeler!
I am glad that you are building again Don. It is fun, isn't it?
I was going to ask how the nose was build but now I know.
Thank you for sharing the construction process.

ps: btw, I always print an extra or two, just in case I need them

Thanks Don, but I cannot take credit for the beauty of this model. I only did the shape and fit. Gary Mcpherson did the detailing and application of the livery. That is where the talent lies!

Thanks Jim.

Don, the J-3 is the definitely of teamwork. Jim did a great job on the design, and on the builds.
