Very nice build as always. The plane was very big and, yes, it was outlasted by its precursor.
It look so cool with tose American stars that no one believe them!
But wait, there is another Albacore, don't forget Gerry's Albacore in 1/400.

Smile

I not know this model, but in fact 1/400 scale is very restritive for most modellers and maybe accessory to ship modelling (no offense my friend).

The US Navy marking in ALbacore is because operation Torch, in fact USA making diplomatic negociations with Colonial Government in Argelia until the last minute, if frenchs show the England in business diplomatic effort fails. Is a intricated game play beside the invasion.

Dear Pericles, I was being sarcastic!

I know about the replacement of the roundels for stars, and your model is correct as the yellow circle is applied only to the fuselage and not on the wings. I did mine a couple of years ago in tiny 1/400 and of course enlarging it 400% would not produce a model with the fine quality of yours and its designer. Artvars has emerged as a fine model maker.
Thank you for sharing your models!

ps: Who in his right mind would take the Albacore for an American plane?

Did they think the Vichy forces remembered Mers-el-Kebir and would fight extra hard if they saw british roundels?
