Isaac,
You always take excellent photos. They really add to the model. Gary

Here is another set showing the plastic drop tanks next to the model for reference.
I am currently building the paper tanks and will post when done. Isaac

Congratulations!
It looks really nice, and I have to say that a clear cockpit makes a big difference in any model. In particular the larger scaled. Thank you for sharing all the process. |

Only models that are OK ( in my opinion ) without clear transparencies are tiny planes or airliners. There are some good tutorials on making vacuformed canopies out there. Also, there are numerous canopies available ( usually from Polish outlets ). I try to purchase those whenever they are available for the models I build, or make my own. Isaac

Isaac, that is a great result and the artwork by Gary looks very realistic!
When looking at the side, it surprises me (never actually gave it thought to be honest) that the wings are placed so much in front of the aircraft. Likely because of the engine dimensions and weight distribution that resulted in a cg quite at the front side. Also I wonder if it was a stable aircraft to fly, having such a large vertical stabilizer and rudder. Erik |
