That's beautiful!
Question: Did you spray the model on completion, or, did you print it on a certain grade of paper and if the latter, what grade?
Thanks,
Alan

Beautiful build of a very famous aircraft and in a history-deciding livery. The model reminds me of a plastic Monogram model I once built in the eighties, with boarding paras who were dropped over the Cotentin peninsula in Normandy. It fits very well in your collection!

Regards,
Erik

Jim, yankeekilo, aansorge, Alan, Pepo, Erik - thank you.

Alan, I never spray the models when it comes to applying the varnish. Sometimes I apply the varnish(acrylic, the one that is used for wood) by brush. But in most cases, the models I reprint are already protected and don't need any varnish later. And that's what happened here, with this C-47. I have a good friend at the copy shop who's also interested in paper models, and he knows how to pick the best paper/cardboard for any model I bring to him. We always choose the laser print on a coated paper/cardboard. These two things combined give that glossy look.
Unfortunately, I have no idea about the grades. I've never paid attention to them, or more precisely, to the specific numbers.

Hi Zenon,

Thanks for the info, I have just started printing models I buy/free download in my local copyshop so its new to me. I'll mention what you said and hopefully he understands whats needed and can help me out.
Would be greta to find that grade of paper - seems to make a world of a difference.

Thanks again,

Alan

Alan, I made a call to my friend to ask about paper grades. It looks like this:
250g/m2 for ships and military vehicles
200g/m2 for planes

I hope you'll find it helpful.
