1/33 C-47 Skytrain | 94th Squadron, 439th Troop Carrier Group, 9th Air Force
Today I'm posting the results of my 3-4 weeks of work. It's a model I started when I got back from the vacation(A short break from paper models). C-47 Skytrain from Fly Model, scale 1/33, reprinted on a high quality cardboard.
The kit is quite nicely designed, I didn't have any serious problems with the assembly. Of course, as it's a big plane, in a big scale of 1/33, it requires some experience, so I would not recommend the Fly Model's C-47 for those who are beginners. It's always better to start with some smaller aircraft. One thing I'd like to mention is that the fuselage is designed to be put together by joining segments "former to former". There are no joiner strips. I recommend adding them as they help to make the whole fuselage smoother. C-47 Skytrain from Fly Model represents an aircraft flown by Charles H. Young of the 94th Squadron, 439th Troop Carrier Group, 9th Air Force.

Well done!
Chas. Young was the commander of the 439th. His plane, the "Argonia" (named after his Iowa hometown), is restored and displayed at the D-Day Museum in Normandy, France.

Another superb model, Zenon. The size and your outstanding craftsmanship make it really stand out. And, of course, the C-47 was a classically good-looking airplane.

Kurt, Don, and Carlos - thank you!
By the way, I began to work on the next model - HMAS Wallaroo, Bathurst-class corvette. Soon I'll start posting photos and updates.
