Vertical fin and upper fairing
Here is the vertical fin structure. I added small wood sticks to strengthen the attachments to the fuselage.
the skin glued to the structure prep the fuselage glue on here are the parts for the upper fairing attach to the fuselage Note: the designer uses glue tabs that are folded sharply under. However, after gluing I realized that it still leaves a small gap with the fuselage. I would recommend not using this method. the fairing is mated to the vertical fin Note 2: There is no clear marking as to where the upper fairing is to be glued on. After the fact, I notice, it should have been relocated aft by approx. 1/4 inch or so. I would need to add a small part on top right behind the cockpit. Here it is : Isaac

Fin add on and rudder
The upper tip of the vertical fin has a fairing
the rudder added the lower fairing as well. Kind of industrial rough looking not easy aligning all those small pieces in the lower fairing. Isaac

The top of the vertical fin is a strange design. Too bad about some of the fit issues that you're running into.
You're fuselage looks nice. It's a nice looking air frame. Gary

I just don't understand why some designers and publishers do not check the models before releasing it? If anything getting it vetted by multiple builders will clean up the errors and improve the standing of the designer and the company publishing it. On top of that some folks become very possessive of their work and lash out at those that comment on the errors or point better ways to build or render the models. Isaac

Isaac, I think you're wrong. It has been tested:

I am sure it was tested, however, the printed model still has some significant issues that maybe were not discovered. Some are issues of fit ( like the canopy frames to the fuselage, missing parts, instruction figures that are missing or inadequate, rendering of the red numbers are different let and right, graphics that does not match... ) I will post pictures in a day or so of some of the issues I encountered as well as another builder on a Polish site that experienced the same issues as I. but here is one: The landing gear bays in the fuselage are not centered and also the wheels are either too big or the bay is too small. there are more issues and I will post them shortly as well. Note : please do not take this in a negative way. I point these things so maybe it would filter back to the designer or publisher so they can fix it. Isaac

Here is a listing of the issues and errors I found so far on this model. Some may be the designer issues and other are the printer shop/publisher.
Intake assembly: The internal framing is interfering with the speed brake and nose gear housing and needed to be trimmed away. Upper fairing: This is the long spine fairing from behind the cockpit to the vertical fin. There is no marker to position the part. So it is easy to miss position that entire assembly. the small part with the half round mating to the canopy is too long on its sides and needed to be trimmed Canopy : The frame is too small and does not extend down to the fuselage. Windshield portion is also too small. It needed extra pieces. Text on parts : The folding lower fin has text and lines going thru it Tactical number 82 rivets: One side has rivets thru it and the other does not Fuselage graphics does not match in some locations: Nose gear bay missing aft inner cover part: Air brake: missing outer skin Missiles: There are two red missiles. Each has 4 large fins in the back. So a total of 8 fins is needed. This model only provides 5 instead of all 8 Landing gear bays: The main gear housing in the fuselage is too small and is not properly located relative to the wing gear strut housing. Figures: There are numerous figures that were derived from the computer model. However, due to the complexity, it would have been helpful to have additional details of the canopy, cockpit, upper fairing, landing gear bay, missiles, main landing gear... Closing thoughts This a very unusual model and therefore is a great model to build. The Model-Kom web site shows a beautiful build of this model. In any case, the model is still buildable ( I am an average modeler ). More on the build coming up. Isaac

Isaac,
That is quite the list of issues. I definitely would consider you a skillful modeler, not an average modeler. I've seen the work you do, and the surgery that you do to recover from issues that most people would give up on. Not to mention the fantastic build threads including photos, details, instructions and hints. Great work, and your efforts are appreciated. Gary
