Isaac,
I do love the separate control surfaces. Gary

Wheels
Here are the un sanded wheels in place at their bays
Again, notice that the main gear strut channels in the wing do not center with the fuselage bay ( unlike the real plane ). This is the model designer's error. here are the wheels prior to sanding wheels are now sanded to shape and size. I used my mini lathe, but you may use any rotary tool. painted the green rims are in. Sorry for tuning in late, I simply missed out on this thread. An intriguing aircraft en another great build. You made the right choice to purchase the laser cut set Isaac, it really has saved you from very painful fingers....
It's a pity that certain kits somehow have not been test-built properly, or the graphics checked. Designer and publisher cut in their own fingers as a matter of speak. The devil is always in the details and by now I know from experience the value it brings to the end product, and of course the joy instead of frustration at the builder's end. On the other hand, and experimental aircraft like this requires an experimental building approach, which suits you more than fine . Cheers, Erik |

Thank you for your comments. This is why we need multiple test builds by knowledgeable builders. By that I mean building techniques as well as designers and builders that actually research the model being built. Today, there is so much information available on the internet, that's much easier to perform that research. Depending on the complexity of the model, accuracy can be modified. However, the basic features need to be preserved. And again, none of this is meant to put down the designer or builder, rather enhance our hobby. Isaac

Landing gear
The main gear struts were pinned to the inner wing frame earlier....
However, the location did not align correctly ( my error; I should have done it after the wing was attached to the fuselage ) . The location should have been slightly inward ( see photo ) However, I decided not to relocate them because it would have damaged the wings ( I used super glue for the pins ). The main gear and doors are in place. nose gear Isaac
