CBP P-3 Long Range Tracker

This is a work-in-progress model of a recolor in Customs and Border Protection (CBP) livery This Orion is a Long Range Tracker (LRT) with some licenses. According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection the P-3 LRT aircraft is a high-endurance, all weather, tactical turbo-prop aircraft. They are primarily used to conduct long-range aerial patrols and surveillance missions along the U.S. borders and in drug transit zones in Central and South America. It is a S&P reduced from 1/300 to 1/400.

Nice. Did you apply a gloss coat to this one? Looks good.

P-3 LRT on duty

Thank you Garry.

I use thin glossy paper printed in the local shop with a laser printer.
I prefer the glossy paper because it is more rigid than the regular bond paper and doesn't deform with the white glue. I have seen your later productions and they look cool in glossy. What do you do for your planes?

Here is the P-3 LRT on patrol.
I hope you like it.

Exactly the same. Though sometimes I find a bit too glossy, as you say the durability and white glue friendly nature of laser print makes that downside a small price to pay.

And yes, I do like your finished model!

Who is controlling this intercept?

In this dramatic video of a Tucano is intercepting a Narco-plane, the likely controller is from a P-3 or similarly equipped.
Does anyone could confirm on this?
