Cool Color video KLM flying Fokker VII

I stumbled upon this colorized video of a KLM Fokker F.VII airliner back in 1929 flying from Amsterdam to Paris.

Flying with the KLM from Amsterdam to Paris in 1929 in color! [AI enhanced & colorized] - YouTube

Of interest to me is that I built ( many years ago ) the Fokker model ( in Polish colors ). It was an old Maly Modelarz kit I think.

Nice nostalgia

A fine piece of nostalgia (the model and the video). It's great to see what it was like for wealthy travelers in the early years of commercial travel.

Thanks for sharing.

Good video.
The throttle quadrant at the 8:00 minute mark shows four levers and the aircraft only has three engines!

I am not familiar with the cockpit layout of this Fokker FVII, and I am sure there were many variants as well. I think you are right though about a 4 engine quadrant. It may be a 4 engined push/pull Fokker Universal 32, but I am speculating .

In any case, this movie was staged, and it is not the first time you see discrepancies. How many times do we see things wrongly associated in movies? Example, yesterday I was watching a British drama and in one scene this lady in London during the Blitz bombing in WW2 seating on rubble. Then the camera goes to black and white to show the street bombed, only a closer look shows American GIs and trucks in the ruined street?

Anyhow, this was a very educational short film of what it was like to fly then.
