Kawasaki C-1
Here's the Kawasaki C-1 that first flew about 50 years ago. Younger than some of us. I build it some time ago and printed on thin metallic card stock. I downloaded the uncolored model from one of the many Japanese Ministry of Defense sites. Reduced to 1/400, It is accompanied by a Trotsky’s Fuji T-1. I hope you like it.

Nice model, Pablo!
I have one flight in a C-1. Here is the way it is entered in my log: "JASDF Kawasaki C 1, 48 1004 (Nose No. 004, yellow eagle on tail)(2nd TAG) Iruma to Chitose with MG Shigematsu on Joint Trip, 18 Aug 87." It still looked the same in 2011 (Image 1 source: 48-1004 (cn 8004) Kawasaki C-1 Photo by Peter Terlouw | AIRFIGHTERS.COM) but by 2015, it had been repainted (Image 2 source: https://cdn.jetphotos.com/full/5/30911_1461411826.jpg) Don Last edited by Don Boose; 10-31-2021 at 08:47 PM. |

Thank you Don, Garry and Carlos for stopping by.
The model went relatively easy although the front of the fuselage was a little bit strange in construction. My model wanted to replicate the bare metal C-1 prototype 001, but I didn't include serial numbers. To my knowledge, it was the only one in that scheme. The rest are camouflaged in typical three color scheme with the exception of 006 that had at least for some time a nice special blue, 026 in white and red samurai theme, and 007 in shades of browns. Although the C-1 has very clean lines, it had an embarrassing short range and could not make it nonstop to Okinawa from some parts of Japan. |
