Help!

I'm getting back into paper model building after a long absence. I'm intrigued by the 1/100 scale models. I'm 69 years old. My eyes aren't as sharp as they once were, so I hesitated about attempting the tiny 1/100 models. But they're so darn nifty, and the price is unbeatable. So, I'm well into Scissors & Planes little Boeing F4B-4. What a nicely designed model. Parts fit perfectly. I have just one problem. In the lower right corner of the printout are two 'Y' shaped parts which I take to be landing gear pieces. But for the life of me I cannot figure out how those parts go on the model. I've looked at a number of photos of the bipe online. Nothing in the photos seem to correspond to those parts. I understand the parts are to be folded, etc., but I'm still not seeing something. Help!

Right up my alley, this one.
First of all, welcome back Larry. I initially tried to construct the landing gear as printed but it didn't look right. Ended up as here by separating the components (after laminating into 3 layers for rigidity) on the pink fold lines.
Hope this helps.

Smile Thaks, Rata.

Thanks, Rata. You've cleared things up. Your pics are a huge help. I think I'll separate the parts as well. Nice, nice model.

Pictures say a thousand words. This is why I often save pictures of Bruno models made by members. They came handy more than few times.

Most of the times Bruno models are straightforward and pictures are enough to figure what part goes where but sometimes I get stuck with extra parts wondering what did I miss

That makes me feel like I took apart a radio and put it pack togethr. It worked just fine except there was a small pile of parts left lol. Wandering mind of a 14 y old .

Top marks Larry! Once you've got a few Bruno's under your belt you get his approach to designing and presentation. Though his models are accurate and detailed, he's very minimalist when it comes to constructional info. I've always found the best thing (and this applies to building any scale model) is to have a three view on hand as well as regular internet or book consultation with photos of either the real thing or someone else's built model.

Thanks, Rata. Fortunately, there are several internet sites with plenty of photos of this plane. Squadron/Signal Pubs also put out a decent reference (Aircraft Number 141).
