Fokker TV Bomber

I bought this model years ago from Paperwarbirds/Wings of Horus. I see that it is available from Paper Trade Paper Trade
Fokker T-V 1937-1940 Schaal 1:48 - Hobbyprof

I have tried it on at least two occasions but I wasn't mindful of the print sizing and had to scrap it after building part-way through. There was also a corrected sheet for it as I brought this right after release.
This is my third (and last) attempt at it.
I was unsure about posting anything incase it was another failure but i'm far enough into it that I now know I'll be able to complete it.

It has parts for the standard Dutch rondel or the pre-invasion orange triangle. I love that big orange triangle.
The model also comes with some interior parts but if you want to do this you'll hafta look online as to how to place that stuff. I'm not putting the interior in, but I am going to build the clear windscreen and just paint black inside.
Building the screen with the supplied paper parts and not using clear plastic would have been immensely easier but I wanted to have a go at it. If I failed I could always revert back to the paper parts.

As mentioned, I found this to be quite a challenge and time consuming but the end result was alright.

Landing gear is a delicate piece but i'm sure will be solid once installed.

Engine was a fine piece but a bit to large for the nacelle so I had th cut the cylinder heads down a bit. Nacelle looks good but the front cowling was a bit larger than needed so I ended up edge gluing it to the nacelle and trimmed to fit. Better too long than too short. It looks good.

Great project, Bluenoser!

It was a famous airplane with a unique appearance. Your looks really good, and I am enjoying the images and your narrative. Sounds like you have some challenges along with the rewards of building.

I think there's a point in every build where you know you're going to end up with a successfully completed model. Looks to me like you've passed that point Bluenoser. Nice looking model.

A very unique aircraft. A very fine clean build.
