1/100 Boeing P-12E?

I seem to recall someone mentioned a 1/100 scale Boeing P-12E, but I have not been able to locate the kit or photos of the model. Rata did a repaint of S&P's P-12E. I'm currently working on Rata's version, the Boeing F4B-4, itself a pretty model. A P-12E would make a nice companion model for the F4B-4. Is the S&P P-12E available somewhere?

The P-12 is Bruno Number 2601. I don't have this model, so I don't know if it's a P-12E or not and can't comment in its colors and markings, but if Rata is guarding this push, I am sure he will weigh in.

It shows on ecardmodels. It's one of Garry repaints in green/yellow scheme.I think old Matchbox kit came with the same colors.

You searched for P-12E - EcardModels

Thanks, Karol. I forgot about Garry's repaint.

Roman Vasyliev also produced a series of P-12s, including the P-12E,in 1/72 and 1/48, in the markings of the 8th, 16th, 27th, and 95th Pursuit Groups and the Air Corps Training Center at Kelly Field, but they don't show up on his site at present: Kampfflieger card models

Garry's repaint is indeed attractive. Was Bruno's version done in a red and black color scheme?

Roman Vasyliev :: Der Kampfflieger :: Card Models :: ZarkovModels Store

It shows a lot of F4B-4 versions but not P-12E.

Roman did a lot of models not available anywhere anymore. Why that is is anyone's guess.

It definitely encourages looking into illicit sources.

If I remember correctly original version was blue and yellow.Bruno seems to like those colors and they were popular combination back then.

Short answer: no. I did the repaint from the original S&P F4B-4 kit; changing the headrest fairing and vertical tail to suit. I've also done a 27th PS P-12E (pictured) that will be on Ecards when I've test built it.

Bruno did do a generic P-12C (#2601 and the 2nd image), but this and the aforementioned F4B-4 are the only two of his versions of this little Boeing beauty that I'm aware of.
