Next up is a far cry from my previous post, this is a Goodyear F2G-1 Super Corsair.
88458 was actually the fifth production aircraft, purchased by Cook Cleland, finishing first in the 1947 Thompson Trophy and first in the 1949 Tinnerman Trophy Race. After considerable deterioration over time, it was restored to flying (and racing) condition in 1999 by Bob Odegaard. It now resides in Bentonville AR. This beauty is an S&P model (#1691) with only minor mods by me. Next up will be another WWII US warbird raced post-war: a spectacular repaint by Brent.

Next up is a Brent repaint of a Scissors & Planes late war Lockheed P-38 Lightning (F-5G-6-LO). Purchased and prepared for racing by J.D.Reed of Houston Texas and flown in this configuration by Charlie 'Firewall' Walling during 1947, it placed well in a number of races.
