FG Cessna 152 1/100 build
One of FG's best models, in my opinion, is the Cessna 152. It is a simple model, like many from FG. I've rescaled the model to 1/100 which makes for a four inch wingspan. I think a determined builder could put this model together in a afternoon, but my time is limited, so it may take me a few evenings to complete.

I'm intrigued by the star shaped cutouts. What are they?

Hi, Ray....the aft portion of the fuselage is more or less conical. Getting the cardstock to hold that shape was challenging for my stubby fat fingers. The cardstock tended to spring open, so I made those cutouts to slide over the fuse to help keep the edge seam tight whi!e the glue sets.

so in essence it acts like a band clamp/third hand
I like that idea, I can see how it can be useful

Inventive! The makings of a true-blue paper modeller.
Good luck with the rest of the build.

By the way, I want to ask a question: What is the scale of FG's B-24(redraw by John Dell ver )?

FG scale
I am always impressed by watching models being built at scales that I cannot do myself. My vision, and hand-eye coordination is not what it once was. I like the FG 152 also, and I am looking forward to seeing your excellent work completed!

I can't speak for John Dell's beautiful designs, but I know that with my Beaver model, I worked very hard to make it true to scale. When I sent it to Chip Fynn, he enlarged the landing gear, the vertical tail, and the propeller. He also shortened the wingspan, but not the chord, to make it fit in with his other caricature models. |

Great idea on the 'clamp'. I've never seen that technique before.

The clamp idea is indeed very smart, and simple. In plant engineering design this is called the KISS principle: Keep It Safe and Simple. Great idea, thanks for sharing!
