British Explosive Ordinance WWII

When I was designing my Northrop N-3PB, and latter, revisiting my Supermarine Stranraer, I saw that I had no weapons to place in them.

So, while I'm sure that there are a lot of models with ordinance, I'm designing a full range of british ordenance and torpedoes from WWII.

They, of course, could be mounted not only in my planes, but in any other model of that age that you are assembling, being of 1/72 or 1/33 scale.

That's fantastic. I've been looking for British,Soviet and Japanese bombs to hang on models. The only credible info I found on ww2 ordnance from those is US issued instruction/manual with drawings of Japanese bombs.

Nice ordnance.
The title of the thread immediately brought to mind the British TV show from 1979 called Danger UXB.

Have you tried Inert Ordnance Collectors - they have a section on air dropped weapons as well as links to many ordnance manuals which might help with colours, etc.

Regards,

Charlie

Thanks, but sadly there is a messaje telling that you can't register to download the information. Don't know why.

Isaac: Yes, I'll include them and into 1/100 scale too.

Hi Draco,
I only once designed the small 250lb bombs (or was it 500lb) for my Hurricane and some torpedo (pre-war I think) except for the dambuster bomb, the grand slam and tallboy for the Lancaster. I'll see what I can find as "plans" for these dangerous things.

As promised, here some "plans" for US and UK WW2 ordinance. (if the quality is not too bad )
Another route to go, is to look for p!@$ti(c) model kit pictures. I sometimes use that for landing gear or wing pylon info.

Thanks, everybody!

First test of the F.20 lb fragmentation, parachute bomb. Real lenght 21.8 inch, lenght 1/33 scale 1.67 cm.
It's the smaller bomb I'll design in scale 1/33. The smaller in 1/72 scale will be the G.P.500 lb.

There is going to be Antisubmarine bombs and Aircraft deep charges, too.
