Wedell Williams Racer

Thank you Rata’s Recolours.

This was a pleasant build and welcome distraction.

While the sun settled and the glue dried I snapped a few pictures.

Good to see an interest in my repaints Bob. Is this built in a larger scale or did you go the microsurgery on those cowl cylinder head fairings?

Howdy,

It is enlarged. The wing span is 6 and a half inches.

The engine and tail surfaces were burnished.

In a few Internet photos there is a needed landing gear cross brace
and I must yet also add the pitot tube.

Again Thank you Rata.

Your racer was a needed fun build break as I have been experiencing, for weeks, a discouraging and frustrating paper model build of a commercial kit. Had that kit been my introduction to paper modeling I would have quickly gone back to snipping plastic parts off sprue and never returned.

Very nice model of a pretty plane. Been trying to work up the eyeballs to make another small one.
