Thanks for the kind words.

Basically, I'm more of a realist. I have no issue with fixing problems on builds I am fully vested in. On those builds I do to "take a break" from the minutiae, I do them sort of half arsed.
This one is one of "those" builds, because I know that there is no reason for me to invest the time in to something lacking both detail and precision.

Make no mistake, I'm having fun with it. It just won't take any prominent place in my display area, when it's done....

Different models, different intentions, different modeling approaches. Keeps things less stale I guess.

Last night I got the landing gear and some detail parts on. No real issues here.

The "big" fit issue came next when building the spinner. Made from rings, the middle ring of three is severely undersized. I had made all the rings up and went to stack them and they did not match up. At all. I had to tear apart the middle ring and add a filler piece. Now I get to paint it....

Greg.

Sanded the spinner a little, painted it green, added the props, and attached a few details. Calling it done. Nice short project.

Dang! That turned out lovely. Nice and colorful. Captures the sit and sleekness of that beast too.

Well done model. How did you like the paper it was printed on?

I remember why I sold that model and avoided Japanese models for so long-it's the green color used by printers back then. I'ts incorrect and I don't like that shade one bit. lots of Japanese models were done with that exact shade and while models were cool color ruined the effect.

Despite your challenges, you've got a great model. Very well done. Greg.

Modelcard paper from this era seems a bit thick to me, but it is better than what Maly used back then.

I see what you mean by the green shade, could be much less "bright". I'm Ok with it here, this is definitely not a contest model. It's merely a shelf queen.

Thanks Don and Gary for checking in and following along on this short project.

Greg
