Fokker VFW-614
Does anyone know of a paper model of the Fokker VFW-614? I have searched,
and found nothing. The above the wing mounted engines intrigue me.

I too would be interested in a paper 1/72 scale model of the 614 as well as the Hondajet which also has over the wing engine ( which I worked on that project while in Japan ).
In plastic, there are numerous models of each. ( VFW 614 vacuformed model ) ( Hondajet plastic kit ) Isaac

in a previous iteration of Murph's website, he had a HondaJet model, can't recall the scale, but is not listed for sale on his new site as of yet.
a freely available HondaJet is available on Ojimak's site, but that one is designed more as a launchable/tossable paper airplane, and is less smooth around the edges

I never had a Hondajet. I remember somebody else beating me to it. There is one that lives at the airport next door to work, so I might move it higher up the list though.
THe Fokker is one I never heard of though. I'll have to see if I can find a 3-view. |

Be careful if you plan to design the Hondajet in paper. The nose section up to the cockpit are not straight cylindrical sections. Honda uses a 3D laminar flow fuselage nose section.
The VFW 614 however is a simple cylinder with conical nose and rear sections Isaac

Schreiber used to have a 614. It is a collectors item now

The Sch9reiber model is from the 1950s. Like their other big airliners, though 1:100 scale. Hard to find now. Would be a great one to reissue.

A little more on the VFW 614 published by JF Schreiber. The model was a simple 32x43 one page design,1:100 by Hubert Siegmund. It was published in 1966 as JFS 7-1402. No landing gear, and the simple livery was that of the prototype.
I built a copy - here are a few snaps of it:

Looks like it would benefit from a redesign!
