Smile Consolidated Commodore Nyrba S&P No.1442 (WIP)

This time, the airship is Consolidated Commodore Nyrba S&P No.1442,work in progress。

Before I saw the plane designed by Bruno, I knew very little about it。So I looked up the photos and drawings on the Internet, studied its structure, and even found the model in FSX to fly it。

It is difficult to make complex and small connecting columns, because there is no instruction, I can only constantly guess and experimentand,I also made some spare parts of the connecting rod to prevent cutting mistakes, but it was not used

By the way, the engine cylinder head, my hands were shaking ,and I almost went blind. LOL

In the next few days, I'll put all the parts together and I'm about to succeed

Nice job leenone.

I've built a lot of S&P models and found the lack of instructions has never been an insurmountable problem. As you say, the best approach is to familiarize yourself with as many images and drawings as you can before cutting. Doing this gives you an almost 100% chance of a successful build-as you've demonstrated.

Yep, sorry for not providing instructions. I had to make a choice between quantity of models or instructions. Being a fan of puzzles and riddles, I chose the first option.
As Rata said, pictures and plans do clarify a lot. I use them too for my designs.

It's a great sense of accomplishment to solve this puzzle,It's better to add some details according to the configuration drawing。

This weekend, I finally finished the production of float. Although they were not very friendly to me at first, I defeated them after bending and complementing。

Here are some completed pictures. It seems that no one has done it in previous threads. So, am I the first person to make this flying ship model?

Nice model leenone. You've defeated all that complex struttery convincingly!

I may be confusing the Commodore with something else, but I think our friend Péricles (gomidefilho) did one a while back.(??)

In fact I make two atempts to scratchbuilding the military version of Commodore, the Consolidated P2Y Ranger.

Consolidated P2Y2 Ranger in 1/100 scale. Scratchbuilding

The P2Y use the same engines and upper wing but in fact is a different design , with rounded fuselage and a biplane (sesquiplane) arrange.

Now I study to make a digital model to make a new tentative.
