[Angraf] Ghost of Kiev
Hello, modelrs!
It's been a while... from last post. I finished some models at february, but I was busy to did some team activities, major exams...so I couldn't post them. But now, semester is over and I got some time to enjoy hobbies :D This time I will build Ukrainian Mig-29 which known as 'Ghost of Kiev' published by Answer. -Inside the Cover ![]() Cover. It is 1/33 scale. ![]() Some specifications of Mig-29, text instructions and publisher's thank to original model author, 'Roman' and publisher 'maly modelarz(Little modeler)' Note: Every informations from poilsh are traslated from google. So don't trust me 100% ![]() Instruction drawing. It is same as the original model's one. ![]() Some of the publishes... ![]() This is the one of the original model from maly. ![]() ![]() Left: Ghost / Right: Original Angraft's one is simplified. all the landing gear bays are deleted, some of the cockpit parts are also deleted. -Build ![]() I sticked every single parts of skeleton to 1mm paper and cut. My weak fingers are still painful. ![]() Then I assemnled body, and I found some errors. ![]() ![]() I definately followed drawings, but this part causes gap between up and downside. ![]() ![]() Anyway I streched it very hard to fit them. I just hope this action wouldn't cause any further errors. ![]() Almost done. Now I move on to the cockpit(to finish whole skeletons.) ![]() Main body. It was really easier than the other models. ![]() These are parts of zvezda ejection seat. ![]() ![]() ![]() And It's done! They are quite simple, but looks fine. This is reason why am I like maly's model :D Next time, I'll build its nose and some bodies. Have a good day. |

Part2
I noticed photos size are too large. I'll resize past ones. Sorry.
![]() ![]() Build continued with firing handle and stick. Next, I began noses. ![]() ![]() Skeletons are need to be sanded their edge to fit with bodies. ![]() ![]() ![]() I assembled cockpit with body. There are some gaps caused, but I ignored because they will be hidden by canopy. ![]() ![]() ![]() I concerned about any erorrs, but thankfully, patterns are matched very well. ![]() This is all I've worked on today. To be continued... |

Part3
Thank you, people :D
Here's other builds. It was hard work to fight with aeroplane's body. When I fit them without glue, I saw many little gaps. So I spend most time to remove them and It is still happening. ![]() ![]() ![]() At least upper plate fitted well. ![]() First problem: Some errors occured between skeleton and body's length. Skeleton have to be shorten at least 1.5mm. And tip of the plane is tapered, So I sanded those tip. ![]() ![]() These flates need to be reinforced. If don't it would be hard to attach each part without gap. ![]() Rear main body is done. It looks fine to me. Now move on to the front main body. ![]() ![]() ![]() Second problem: Another gaps between skeleton and body again. I'm working to lengthen skeleton To be continued... |

Part4
Thank you YOAV :D
Here's other one goes. ![]() ![]() After reinforcement, I attached Front main body to the skelton. Upper result is my best as I could. I couldn't remove further gaps... This looks quite big in front view but, ![]() ![]() Looks better in diagonal view. ![]() Lower part. ![]() Then I worked rest of body. ![]() ![]() Start at lower, ![]() ![]() End at Upper. I only glued its edges, not a sides. Because sides will attached with finish part. To be continued... |

Thank you, Shalom :D
It's sealing time... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thankfully, these sealing parts fitted very well. Also they covered gap between main bodies. ![]() Then I assembled rear wing skeletons. I hope there is no more gaps at least here. ![]() Now move on to the jet air intake - engine skeleton. ![]() It's late time to solve this big problem. Anyway how can I solve this... To be continued. |

Beautiful work! You handle the small gaps and misalignments very well. Interesting camouflage livery, it looks like the pixel structure has inspired the air force.
