Stahlart F11F-1 Tiger

I'm biting the bullet and started building the Tiger, in the second ATU-222 livery. Going build it with gear down, to get more skills under my belt.

Progress so far:

Looking forward to seeing your Tiger come together!

As a wee lad, I saw the Blue Angels put their F11's through their paces in the skies over Annapolis the last season they flew them. Saw them again the next year in their new F4 Phantoms.

Some updates. Got the gear bays glued into position, hopefully they are fitted properly.

Then worked on the nose and rear fuselages and managed to get the nose somewhat okay looking...

I haven't got much time to go to airshows, even though they are practically in my backyard... But i do see some special stuff when looking up, evident by the last photo. No idea what heli it is, but it aint a newer model, nor one i see/hear regulary. I didn't see the plane that is in the shot untill i saw the vapor trail when zooming in.

Any model of that around?

I do get lots of civil flights over my head (mostly because of the low flying area and the Zestienhoven airport), but i also get passovers from police choppers, the ADAC/ANWB emergency choppers and if lucky Chinooks, which are just so damn impressing to hear from miles away. And even more impressing when close!

Oh, a quick google search revealed that it is a Dutch Airforce helicopter, callsign A-275. And it's a VIP craft as well!

Indeed. I also found a sketchup model of the Allouette III, with interior, but in a brown non-descript paint scheme, not the blue navy one.
